Public shaming

There's a new trend on social media where parents shame their misbehaving children in public. Is this a good idea or not?

I am starting the 30 Day Shred tomorrow and wondered if anyone else is doing it or has done it in the past. I need to jump start my fitness and weightloss and some friends have said this is a great way to get moving.

Yep, I love the 30 day shred. I tried Zumba and wii fitness after baby #1 and those worked but not enough. Then a friend turned me onto the shred and that is how I lost the baby weight. It's great, just don't give up!

I did it, although did not complete all 30 days. I thought day 1 was bad until I got to day 3, 4 and 5. Love Jillian, but she sure puts the hurt on ya. Good luck!! :)

I'm encouraged yet scared by your comments- LOL! I just need my husband to hook up the DVD player- I only asked 3 times over the long weekend... he's a busy guy though, but I must get going!

You'll do fine. She makes a comment on the video basically saying if her 300-500 lb contestants on biggest loser could do jumping jacks so could we. And every time she says it I'm always reminded that if they can do this I def. could as well. It will get easier and easier if u keep at it. Good luck

You can do it!! It does get easier if you stick with it. Good luck!

It sounds hard but pays in the end. I like things i can do @ home, we had a Spiece membership but didnt use it enough.

How did it go/is it going for you? I've completed 30 Day Shred 3 times (twice pre-pregnancy and once post-pregnancy). I've also done Ripped in 30 and I'm currently almost halfway through Body Revolution (Jillian Michaels' newest workout program). I gave birth in February and I have about 10lbs to go to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight.

I'm trying to gear up to do the 30 Day Shred again, but after reading everyone's first attempt is coming back to me and that's not good. lol

Any other suggestions for an at home workout dvd?

No workout will be easy. It's not supposed to be. If it hurts afterwards your doing great! Just keep your head up and keep going. Or join a gym. Also some places offer free or cheap zumba classes. Just go to

My sister-in-law keeps getting me to try zumba. Thanks for the tip...I'm going to check the website out...then maybe I won't be so intimidated.

It's really not intimidating because most people look silly doing zumba but they do it anyway because its fun and a great way to stay fit.

some places have aqua zumba too. I really want to try that out soon.
