Poverty's spread

The Journal Gazette reported that poverty rates have climbed in Indiana since 2000. Are you and your family feeling the pinch?

Really? I heard on GMA and then on the radio that Wal-Mart, KMart and Sears are all starting their sales at 8 pm Thanksgiving Day. Ugh! Meijer already has a Thanksgiving Day sale that starts at 6 am, (they had pretty good deals last year)...soon Thanksgiving is going to be an afterthought! I played the game last year and stayed out all night. I paid for it the next several days trying to recover from the lack of sleep. I just don't know that I'm up for another all nighter out trying to snap bargains with tons of other bargain hunters too.

I think I'd rather it go back to a true Black Friday sale...and start at 5 a.m.!

Agreed Black Friday should stay black friday. I've never been a black friday girl. Just not into the long lines and craziness of it all. Plus I like my sleep too much :) I just don't like it cutting into thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is about taking a day to just be thankful for what we have. Not running out trying to buy more and more.

I saw Best Buy's ad today and it made me cringe. Of course, they have an item that my son is wanting for Christmas. The thought of trying to fight others just has me wore out thinking about it. Ugh!

I think it's hard enough with people shoving and pushing each other around during regular christmas shopping. I can't imagine black friday craziness. I prefer to stay in and do some black friday shopping online at most. I'm not big on going out just to be pushed around and argue over toys.
