The goal of Get it Together is to help you forget all that Mommy-ness for a little while and remember who you are and that you are a woman. Now let me hear you roar!

Get it Together focuses on issues that women face no matter their age, shape, size or whether we stay at home with the kids or work outside the home. Sometimes we'll laugh at topics only women could find funny -- such as predicaments the men in our lives can get into, or the silly Christmas gifts we get each year. Other times we'll shed tears about handling the death of loved ones and being there for your best friend as she battles cancer. But most of the time, we’ll talk about girl stuff.

I'm Mary Lou Brink, blogger and also the director of interactive media at Fort Wayne Newspapers. I have been a journalist and writer for 20 years at various newspapers and publications throughout the Midwest. My upbringing and life experiences have taught me to learn to "stop and smell the roses" every now and then and to be proud to be a woman!
